Awareness Campaign |  December 2024 | Account Executive

Side by Side is an LGBTQ+ youth center providing communities with access and safety. Tasked as an capstone, is to figure out how to get more funding for the organization to expand their efforts for the youth. 

The Issue 

Side by Side has dealt with a limited budget, creating the issue of limiting the resources and services available to their attendees. The budget shift has caused Side by Side to let go of their Director of Public Relations, a negative shift of communication among their community to update them about resource availability, and a restriction on events due to scarce space available within the physical location.

Agency xPRience was committed to enriching the culture at Side by Side by helping expand their impact within the LGBTQ+ communities through implementing an awareness campaign. The awareness campaign involves strategic focuses on donor relation, volunteerism, social media outreach, and internships.

The Strategy

The awareness campaign is to expand Side by Side’s brand awareness to the current and potential donor bases to provide a better experience for staff and counselors. 

A few strategies include

  • Partnering with the radio and news stations such as WNRN and Channel 12 to further expand Side by Side’s mission

  • Creating donor-based newsletters.

  • Recruit interns and volunteers to help increase the organization's social media presence and improved experience of support groups.​​

Agency xPRience curated an extensive one-year schedule for 2025 and over 15 strategic prototypes for Side by Side to use for outreach, social media, newsletters, promotion and to collect feedback from those who have committed their own time to help them achieve their mission.

The Projected Impact 

With extensive qualitative and quantitative research suggesting Side by Side’s lack of brand awareness and recognition can help solve the issue of budget constraints; digital and in-person outreach will help foster new and current relationships at Side by Side.

The organization can expect

  • an exponential increase in participation from donors, staff, and within the LGBTQ+ community once they implement Agency XPrience’s campaign within the following year.
